Welcome to my moth web site. I created this site to share the images of moths that I've been collecting in and around the Ottawa Valley. Thank you for visiting. Enjoy!

Jun 7, 2011 - It's officially moth season in Ottawa again! I've had a report of a Cecropia Moth sighting in the Bronson & Queensway area on Friday June 3rd. Leave your porch lights on, and check the nearby walls and floor early in the morning to see if you have a visitor.

Feb 28, 2011 - Elevenfiftyfour Modern Living Space in Ottawa is now selling ready-to-hang large-sized moth prints. The prints are mounted on an elegantly thin (3mm) aluminum composite panel. The prints are black right to the edges, and the unframed panel floats about 1/2" out from the wall, which gives them a very modern look. Some prints are currently hanging in their showroom at 1154 Bank Street, letting you see how this presentation would suit your living space.

The Moths at Large show at the Canadian Museum of Nature closed January 9, 2011 after a wildly successful 3 month run. The Musuem draws 1000s of visitors per day, and many discovered the moths enroute to the wonderful exhibit of live frogs. The feedback was universally positive, and the Museum and I are now working on turning Moths at Large into a travelling exhibition that will tour for 3 years. I'll post dates and locations here as soon as I have more details.
